In Memory of Tarik Clarke

Tarik Clarke joined the Farley Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation in August 2014 as our program manager. In this role, Tarik oversaw the center's accounts and finances and served as a staff guide to Northwestern Student Holdings, a venture portfolio of student-run businesses serving Northwestern and Evanston communities.

Tarik was willing and eager to share his knowledge and expertise with students to deal with real life problems. He seized opportunities to educate students and coworkers on a wide range of subjects from his diverse background in accounting, graphic arts and medicine.

Prior to his position at the Farley Center, Tarik worked at Northwestern's Bienen School of Music as a financial assistant. He graduated from the Illinois Institute of Art – Chicago and also studied at the University of Chicago Medical School. Tarik completed his undergraduate studies at Lehigh University in 1998.

Tarik had a manner of professionalism complemented with an amiable sense of humor that put many who worked with him at ease. He often sparked laughter and smiles in the Farley offices—illustrating how to work hard and still have fun.

Tarik was a man of conviction and integrity. He was a supportive coworker whose presence will be sincerely missed by our Farley team.
