Tommy D’Alise partners with Joseph W. Feinberg to launch a fundraiser supporting La Rabida

Tommy D’Alise, who is majoring in learning and organizational change with a minor in entrepreneurship, is using his independent study, overseen by Professor Heather Aranyi, to partner with Joseph W. Feinberg and lead an important fundraiser to support the children, families, and workers of La Rabida. La Rabida is a hospital in Chicago that provides health care to children, regardless of their family’s ability to pay.

“In partnership with Joseph W. Feinberg, chairman of the Joseph and Bessie feinberg Foundation, we have launched a fundraiser for La Rabida Children's Hospital of Chicago. With help from Northwestern University Baseball and Softball student-athletes, we are committed to supporting the children, families, and workers of La Rabida. In these trying times, the young patients of La Rabida need as much support as possible as they are very limited to visitations with their own families. The frontline heroes of the hospital have been working tirelessly to ensure the continuous safety and care of each patient. The lessons I have learned through the Farley Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation have helped prepare and inspire me greatly through this process. I could not be more grateful to have the help of Professor Aranyi in this independent study. Her unwavering support has helped me utilize my network to its fullest potential in order to make a wonderful impact with this philanthropic project. Without the generosity and encouragement of the Farley Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, as well as the Joseph and Bessie Feinberg Foundation, this opportunity to serve others may have never come to life.”

We are so proud of Tommy for applying principles of social entrepreneurship to support La Rabida and working hard on this fundraiser alongside the softball and baseball teams. We are very grateful to Joseph Feinberg and the foundation for working with Tommy and supporting this fundraiser.
