Mark FisherClinical Associate Professor


Mark Fisher is currently the Principal at Mission Product Development LLC and a Clinical Associate Professor within Northwestern's Biomedical Engineering program. Previously, Fisher was the Director of Engineering at Northwestern's Center for Innovation in Global Health Technologies. He has more than 30+ years of product and service development experience, deep experience in industry, start ups and consulting, broad experience across health care, consumer, industrial and aerospace products, proven leadership experience from leading large teams, managing groups of product developers to creating new business, and also has over 25 patents issued and/or pending.

His specific expertise includes healthcare/device design, human centered design, project management, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and design for the developing world. Beyond Northwestern, Mark has worked with start ups and established companies to develop drug delivery devices, health insurance products, ophthalmology devices, surgical implants, diagnostics, and pharmaceutical compliance programs. 

He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Milwaukee School of Engineering and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana.
